Merrimac Housing Authority has been established in accordance with Massachusetts General Law Chapter 121B. Our primary purpose is to provide decent, safe and sanitary housing to families and elderly/disabled of low income. Merrimac Housing Authority is governed by State and Federal laws and regulations. Merrimac Housing Authority provides housing assistance to low income residents through the management of State programs such as State Aided Public Housing. This program is income based and the eligibility guidelines are set by DHCD, respectively. The Amesbury Housing Authority is the Management Agent for the Merrimac Housing Authority. All administrative business is handled at the Amesbury Housing Authority office located at 180 Main Street Amesbury MA. Merrimac Housing Authority has a part time maintenance employee on site Monday through Friday. Amesbury Housing Authority maintenance personnel assist Merrimac Housing Authority on an as needed basis and for all after hours emergencies.
